Data Analyst for Trio Student Support Services

Biography

Ira Washington is the Data Analyst for the TRIO Student Support Services program, located in room 173 of the Student Services building. Ira has been working at Michigan State University since 1988. He has a BA in Psychology, a Masters in Education from the University of Louisville and his PhD in Measurement Quantitative Methods from Michigan State University. Dr. Washington enjoys the exploration of the intersectionality of student groups, especially those constituents who may find navigating the institution as something unfamiliar.

TRIO SSS Peer Staff

TRIO SSS Peer Staff are upper level MSU students trained to provide leadership and guidance needed to be successful at MSU. TRIO Peer Coaches meet with scholars and participate in monthly activities involving relationship building with other scholars in the program and showing how to make the most of your time at MSU. TRIO Peer Tutors offer academic support in a variety of courses, in small group formats or one on one tutoring if preferred. TRIO Peer Tutors support scholars with in-person support in our TRIO Tutoring Center (215 Bessey Hall) or virtually via Zoom.
