Emily Abrams has worked at Michigan State University since 2020 and for the TRIO SSS Program since January 2022. Currently, she serves as the TRIO SSS Academic Success Coordinator. In this role, Emily supervises the TRIO Student Resource Center and manages the delivery of various academic success programs and services, such as peer tutoring, financial literacy education, and workshops. Prior to this role, Emily was an Academic Advisor for TRIO. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from Otterbein University and a Master of Science in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Miami University – Oxford. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education at Michigan State University. Emily enjoys working for the TRIO SSS Program because it is an investment in the whole student. She deeply values educational environments that understand students beyond what they do in the classroom and feels that TRIO embodies that.
