Martell Summers is a Student Engement Coordinator for the TRIO program, located in 209 Bessey Hall. Martell has worked at MSU for 4 years as a Community Director and 4 months in the NSSC. He has his Bachelors of Communications,and a Masters in Education. Martell enjoys working for the NSSC because every individual is so unique. He loves learning about the talents, passions, and hobbies of any students he comes in contact with.

TRIO SSS Peer Staff
TRIO SSS Peer Staff are upper level MSU students trained to provide leadership and guidance needed to be successful at MSU. TRIO Peer Coaches meet with scholars and participate in monthly activities involving relationship building with other scholars in the program and showing how to make the most of your time at MSU. TRIO Peer Tutors offer academic support in a variety of courses, in small group formats or one on one tutoring if preferred. TRIO Peer Tutors support scholars with in-person support in our TRIO Tutoring Center (215 Bessey Hall) or virtually via Zoom.
